  • Yoona Opens Instagram Account
    • On September 27th, Yoona opened an Instagram account for fans to follow. Her Instagram username is yoona__lim (two underscores). Yoona’s first photo is of herself in front of fans outside a recording for “Show! Music Core” on August 22nd, with a caption saying hi, and hashtags wishing followers a happy Chuseok (Korea’s Thanksgiving Day) and saying that this is a surprise present.


      To celebrate Yoona opening her Instagram account, Tiffany posted her own photo with a caption saying, “welcome to the wonderful world of social media bae” and Yoona’s username.


      Taeyeon, Jessica, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona, and Seohyun can now all be found on Instagram.

  • Girls’ Generation Wins Triple Crown on SBS’s ‘Inkigayo’ and Says Goodbye to ‘Lion Heart’
    • On September 13th, Girls’ Generation appeared on SBS’s “Inkigayo” to promote “Lion Heart” for the last time on Korea’s weekly music shows. Girls’ Generation closed the show with the “Lion Heart” goodbye stage and also was announced as the winner of this week’s “Inkigayo”, taking first place. This was the third win in a row on “Inkigayo” for “Lion Heart”, marking a triple crown and removing the song from eligibility for further wins on the music program. Seohyun gave tonight’s acceptance speech, and as always, gave her thanks to Girls’ Generation’s fans and staff.


      Throughout the comeback, Girls’ Generation placed first once each on SBS MTV’s “The Show”, MBC’s “Show Champion”, “Show! Music Core”, and three times each on Mnet’s “M! Countdown”, KBS’s “Music Bank”, and SBS’s “Inkigayo”, for a total of twelve wins. Girls’ Generation scored the fifth highest score of 2015 on “Music Bank”, the fourth highest score of 2015 on “Inkigayo”, and the two highest scores of all time on “M! Countdown”. “Lion Heart” was also the highest selling album on the Gaon album chart for the month of August and the second highest on the Hanteo chart for the same time period.

  • Girls’ Generation to Release ‘You Think’ Version of Fifth Album

      Online Korean retailers have posted listings for a “You Think” version of Girls’ Generation’s fifth album to be released on August 26th. Girls’ Generation’s fifth album has two title tracks, “Lion Heart” and “You Think”, with the “Lion Heart” version of the album having been released on August 19th. All songs from the album are also available on iTunes and Korean music portals.


      The “You Think” album can now be pre-ordered on kpoptown, leesmusic, and via synnara. More pre-order websites will be linked as they are made available.

      The staff, while preparing for the editorial shoot, said, “That’s okay. Tiffany will know how to do everything and do it”. In a positive way.


      Wow, who said that, who! (Laughs) The chief photographer said, “I came trusting only you,” and it put me in a good mood. I’m thankful.


      Before, we peeked at Tiffany’s bag. It’s quite big.

      Someone said, “A woman’s bag shows her inner side”. It’s entertaining. To a woman, a bag is her life. That’s because it has everything you need, and without it, there’s nothing you can do. When I go out, I really dislike forgetting something, so I pack it all the night before and check it once more. The members are always looking for toothpaste, floss, gum, and so on from me. Today, I even brought speakers.


      You are diligent on your SNS. It is like a “Tiffany magazine”.

      I think about what I would want to show fans; conversely, things I want to see from stars; and daily life that I want to share with friends — and I control it well. Not just the final results, but because I can show the creation process, it’s even more fun.
